@MegaCam555 To fix that, you have to Re-Run Redsn0w and select Just Boot Tethered and Cydia should work.

@53fast If the .ipsw file is not recognized on redsn0w, its because the file format is not .ipsw on some browsers, you need to change the file extention.

Ok I jailbroke with redsnowb4 now I need to unlock 4.2.1 3g Iphone I see there is a new redsnowb5 do i need to restore and start all over with redsn0wb5 or can I add the ipadbaseband only then go to repo666 ultrasn0w?

@applecritics Have you paid attention? All files with the .ipsw extension contains an icon that looks like a cube, or a Lego block. It’s not the file format, it’s redsn0w or a problem in the operating system itself.

@applecritics I did and it still didnt work,… but what i did to fix it was I down graded it to 4.1 and it worked.. 4.2.1 broke my ipod.. is that one for the ipad because i have the newest ipod touch and this did not work!

@MegaCam555 To fix that, you have to Re-Run Redsn0w and select Just Boot Tethered and Cydia should work.

@applecritics Have you paid attention? All files with the .ipsw extension contains an icon that looks like a cube, or a Lego block. It’s not the file format, it’s redsn0w or a problem in the operating system itself.

@applecritics I did and it still didnt work,… but what i did to fix it was I down graded it to 4.1 and it worked.. 4.2.1 broke my ipod.. is that one for the ipad because i have the newest ipod touch and this did not work!

@applecritics Have you paid attention? All files with the .ipsw extension contains an icon that looks like a cube, or a Lego block. It’s not the file format, it’s redsn0w or a problem in the operating system itself.

@MegaCam555 To fix that, you have to Re-Run Redsn0w and select Just Boot Tethered and Cydia should work.

@applecritics I did and it still didnt work,… but what i did to fix it was I down graded it to 4.1 and it worked.. 4.2.1 broke my ipod.. is that one for the ipad because i have the newest ipod touch and this did not work!

@53fast If the .ipsw file is not recognized on redsn0w, its because the file format is not .ipsw on some browsers, you need to change the file extention.

Ok I jailbroke with redsnowb4 now I need to unlock 4.2.1 3g Iphone I see there is a new redsnowb5 do i need to restore and start all over with redsn0wb5 or can I add the ipadbaseband only then go to repo666 ultrasn0w?
